On October 5th every year, people celebrate World Teachers' Day to say thank you to the teachers around the world. Since 1994, UNESCO started this day as a recognition of how important teachers are to help people around the world learn and grow.

Teachers do much more than teach subjects. They help students understand the world, instil confidence, and dream big. They care about each student's success and put in hard work to make learning fun and meaningful.

This year, the theme for World Teachers' Day is "Valuing teachers' voices: towards a new social contract for education"
